PHP Developer (Laravel / CodeIgniter / WordPress)

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented PHP Developer with at least one year of hands-on experience in web application development using Laravel, CodeIgniter, and WordPress frameworks. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of MySQL databases, front-end integration, and a good understanding of RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter) frameworks.
• Customize and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Integrate third-party APIs and build RESTful APIs for internal use.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing code to improve performance.
• Follow best coding practices and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain project documentation and version control using Git.
• Ensure website security, performance, and responsiveness across devices.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong command of PHP (OOP concepts, MVC structure).
• Practical experience with Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Proficiency in WordPress theme customization and plugin development.
• Good understanding of MySQL database design, joins, indexing, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX integration.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX for front-end communication.
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub / Bitbucket version control.
• Experience working on XAMPP / LAMP / WAMP environments.
• Understanding of Composer, NPM, and package management.
• Basic understanding of server configuration (Apache / Nginx) and deployment process.

Additional Plus (Preferred but not mandatory)

• Knowledge of React.js / Vue.js for front-end integration.
• Experience with cPanel / WHM / VPS deployment.
• Understanding of SEO-friendly coding and performance optimization.
• Exposure to API integrations such as payment gateways, social logins, or CRMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of professional development experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
