Job Description:

Amigos Engineering Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PHP / WordPress Developer to join our growing team. Your primary mission will be to take full ownership of our website's backend, focusing on building robust, scalable, and efficient solutions exclusively using PHP and WordPress.

If you live and breathe WordPress core, custom theme/plugin development, and writing clean PHP code, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our company website using WordPress as the core CMS.
• Design and build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, according to requirements.
• Customize and extend existing themes and plugins to add new functionality.
• Write clean, well-documented, and secure PHP code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex website issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
• Manage and optimize the WordPress database.
• Ensure the website's technical performance, security, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the front-end team or designers to integrate visual elements into the WordPress framework.

Requirements (Must-Have Skills):

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
• Strong proficiency in core PHP (Object-Oriented Programming is a must).
• Expert-level knowledge of WordPress architecture, including hooks (actions & filters), custom post types, taxonomies, and the REST API.
• Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Solid understanding of MySQL database management and optimization.
• Experience with website security best practices within the WordPress environment.
• Ability to convert complex layout PSDs or Figma designs into functional WordPress themes.
• Minimum Experience: 2-3 years

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery) and their custom module development.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce development and customization.
• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery) for seamless integration.
• Understanding of SEO principles to ensure development aligns with technical SEO requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
