Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician (Physiatrist) to join our New York practice as an Independent Contractor. This role is focused on comprehensive outpatient clinic management, including diagnostic evaluation, non-operative treatment planning, and medication management.

This is a 1099 contractor position that offers a highly competitive daily rate paid directly to the provider's private corporation (PLLC/PC).

Core Responsibilities

The Physiatrist will be responsible for the full scope of outpatient PM&R services, including:

  • Clinical Management: Running an autonomous outpatient clinic to diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and spine-related conditions.
  • Diagnostic Evaluation: Performing comprehensive history and physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT scans), and reviewing electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) as needed.
  • Treatment Planning: Developing and overseeing non-operative treatment plans, including physical therapy, bracing, lifestyle modifications, and coordinating care with other specialists.
  • Prescribing: Prescribing and managing medications, including non-opioid pain relievers, muscle relaxants, and nerve agents, as medically necessary for chronic and acute pain conditions.
  • Procedures (Optional/As Needed): Opportunities to perform in-office procedures (e.g., joint injections, trigger point injections) may be available based on skill set.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).

Compensation & Contract Details

Note: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity. Compensation is paid to the physician’s private corporation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
