Job Title:

Physical Education & Mobility Coach (Yoga for Chess Players)

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Physical Education Teacher specializing in yoga, flexibility, and mobility training to support chess players’ physical and mental well-being. The role involves designing and implementing training programs that enhance focus, posture, endurance, and relaxation — all crucial for long chess sessions and tournament performance.

The coach will work closely with chess trainers, integrate physical conditioning and mindfulness into the players’ daily training schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct daily or weekly yoga and mobility sessions tailored to chess players’ needs (neck, shoulder, spine, hip, wrist mobility).
  • Teach breathing, mindfulness, and posture correction techniques to improve concentration and stress management during games.
  • Create individualized physical fitness plans for players based on age, flexibility level, and tournament calendar.
  • Track players’ progress using metrics like flexibility, endurance, posture stability, and heart-rate recovery.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach and to align physical training with mental and tactical development.
  • Conduct warm-up and cool-down routines before and after tournaments or long study sessions.
  • Maintain records of attendance, progress, and wellness indicators for each player.
  • Organize workshops and awareness sessions on sleep, hydration, ergonomics, and body-mind connection.
  • Introduce safe and progressive yoga sequences for recovery and relaxation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or Yoga Therapy.
  • Certification in Yoga Instruction / Mobility Training / Sports Conditioning (e.g., RYT 200 or equivalent).
  • Experience working with athletes, adolescents, or performers in a structured training setup.
  • Strong understanding of body mechanics, posture, and stress management.
  • Empathetic and motivating teaching style with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to document and analyze physical data (mobility, recovery, fitness tracking).
  • Familiarity with sports psychology or cognitive performance (preferred).

Head Coach and Performance trainer

Performance Indicators:

  • Improvement in players’ physical posture and stamina during long sessions
  • Reduction in fatigue, stress, and injury incidence
  • Consistency of player participation and engagement
  • Positive feedback from players and coaching staff

Hatsun Chess Academy Training Center

Schedule:

Full-time or part-time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹10,897.26 - ₹25,000.00 per month
