    Description:
    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education long term substitute. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to providing a high-quality early childhood education.
    You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state and school standards
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
    • Assess and monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback
    • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development
    • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
    • Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution skills
    • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, or a related field
    • Valid teaching certification in Physical Education
    • Previous experience working with young children
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
    • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching

    Professional Educator License with P.E. Endorsement Preferred

    This position will start January 21,2026 through February 18, 2026.
    Pay: $250/day

    Physical Demands:
    1. Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
    2. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written, diagram or oral form.
    3. Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
    4. Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    5. May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
    6. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
