Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Doctor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to conduct independent medical evaluations for veterans. This position focuses on objective assessments to support the disability benefits process and does not involve treatment. The physician will review medical records, perform thorough evaluations, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and promptly through a secure online platform. This role is ideal for professionals who value precision, efficiency, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze veterans’ medical records via a secure digital portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating evaluations to document current health conditions.
• Complete and submit Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) based on VA templates, ensuring all relevant medical information is captured.
• Ensure all documentation is thorough, accurate, and submitted promptly, typically within 24 hours of evaluation.
• Conduct assessments for up to four veterans per day.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with administrative teams as needed.

Requirements:

• Active MD or DO license with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Completion of a relevant residency program; board certification in PM&R, Neurology, or Psychiatry & Neurology is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Proficiency with digital medical records and online platforms.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience conducting independent medical evaluations or disability assessments.
• Familiarity with VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires and the veterans’ disability evaluation process.
