Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation MD - Mobile AL

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to conduct independent medical evaluations. This role focuses on objective assessments to support the disability benefits process and does not involve providing treatment. The physician will review medical records, perform thorough evaluations, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and promptly. Assessments may be conducted onsite or via telehealth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records through a secure online portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating evaluations to document current health status.
• Complete and submit Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ensure DBQs are submitted within 24 hours of assessment.
• Assess up to four individuals per day.
• Work a flexible, part-time schedule (one day per week) with potential for additional telehealth assessments.
• Travel as needed between locations in Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL.

Requirements:

• Active MD or DO license in good standing with specialization in PM&R.
• Board certification in PM&R, Neurological Surgery, or Psychiatry and Neurology preferred; candidates who have completed a two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
• Strong typing skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in digital documentation and secure medical record review.
• Commitment to providing objective, high-quality assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience conducting independent medical evaluations.
• Familiarity with Disability Benefits Questionnaires and assessment procedures.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
