Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to conduct independent medical evaluations. This role focuses on objective medical assessments to support the disability benefits process and does not involve providing treatment. The physician will review medical records, perform thorough evaluations, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and efficiently. Assessments can be conducted via telehealth or in-person, providing flexibility and the opportunity to serve individuals in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records through a secure online portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating medical evaluations.
• Complete condition-specific Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) based on exam findings and medical records.
• Document findings accurately and submit completed DBQs within 24 hours of evaluation.
• Identify key data points in complex medical records to inform assessments.
• Provide objective medical opinions without making disability determinations.
• Manage daily workflow efficiently, averaging three evaluations per day.

Requirements:

• Current, active medical license in relevant specialty.
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Neurological Surgery, or Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting complex medical records.
• Strong documentation and typing skills, with ability to complete electronic forms accurately.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, objective assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience conducting independent medical evaluations.
• Familiarity with Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and related processes.
• Comfort with telehealth platforms and digital medical documentation.
