Our Staff Physical Therapists play a vital role in supporting high-quality rehabilitation services at PACHS. As a Physical Therapist, you will help patients regain mobility, improve function, and enhance their overall quality of life through skilled therapeutic evaluation and intervention. You will provide care for inpatients, outpatients, and home care clients while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective rehabilitation services.
In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aligned with established plans of care. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, documenting progress, educating patients and families, and communicating with referring providers. You will supervise physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with professional practice standards and ethical guidelines. You may also contribute to program development and provide consultation services to outreach facilities as needed.
Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely documentation, supporting departmental policies and procedures, and contributing to an organized, efficient, and patient-centered environment. You will adapt to changes in healthcare processes and technology, participate in quality-improvement efforts, and assist with departmental operations when leadership is unavailable. You will work with individuals across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients of diverse backgrounds.
This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Candidates must complete a physical therapy program at an accredited institution, hold a current Iowa Physical Therapy license, and maintain required certifications. A valid Iowa driver’s license, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work flexible hours are required. While experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome and on-the-job support is provided. A commitment to ongoing professional growth is essential.
Qualified candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance and bonus incentives.
