Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
- Develop and execute individualized care plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home or community settings.
- Provide expert guidance on physiotherapy interventions for diverse populations, including pediatrics, orthopedics, geriatrics, and patients in acute care or outpatient clinics.
- Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates and physiology knowledge to ensure evidence-based practice standards are met consistently.
Experience
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital settings with exposure to acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success working in outpatient clinics or home & community care environments with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Strong background in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles underpinning effective treatment strategies across various age groups.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics enhances your ability to adapt care plans effectively.
