Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of physiotherapy principles, patient care, and rehabilitation techniques across diverse settings. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patient conditions, develop personalized care plans, and implement effective treatment strategies to promote recovery and improve quality of life. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential in delivering high-quality care in inpatient, outpatient, home health, or community settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions to determine appropriate treatment interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with patients’ goals and medical needs.
- Utilize evidence-based physiotherapy techniques, including trigger point therapy and orthopedics methods, to facilitate recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Document patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility strategies, and home care routines to support ongoing recovery.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to deliver precise and effective therapy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or an accredited physical therapy program.
- Valid licensure or registration as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or home health care settings.
- Strong knowledge of acute care procedures, geriatrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Experience with discharge planning, care plans development, and community-based rehabilitation programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
