Physical Therapist

Overview
The Physical Therapist (Neuro PT) will provide skilled, evidence-based physical therapy services to individuals with neurological and complex medical conditions within a specialized fitness and wellness environment. This role is ideal for a clinician who values functional outcomes, creativity, and long-term client relationships beyond the constraints of traditional outpatient settings.

The PT will work collaboratively with adaptive fitness professionals, wellness staff, and care navigators to design and implement individualized, goal-oriented programs that support mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat individuals with neurological and complex orthopedic conditions using evidence-based neuro PT principles.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional mobility, gait training, balance, strength, endurance, and neuromuscular re-education.
  • Adapt traditional PT interventions to a community-based, fitness-forward environment while maintaining clinical rigor.
  • Support clients transitioning from inpatient or outpatient rehab into long-term wellness and adaptive fitness programs.
  • Collaborate closely with adaptive trainers, wellness professionals, and case managers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to fitness staff as appropriate.
  • Communicate progress, goals, and safety considerations clearly with clients, caregivers, and internal team members.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation consistent with professional standards and organizational requirements.
  • Track functional outcomes and client progress to support quality improvement and program development.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Split Second Fitness programming and clinical integration initiatives.
  • Support expansion into broader outpatient rehabilitation and CORF-aligned services as the organization grows.
  • Participate in education, community engagement, or student mentorship opportunities as desired.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Louisiana (or eligible for licensure).
  • Strong background or specialization in neurological physical therapy.
  • Experience working with conditions such as SCI, stroke, TBI, MS, Parkinson’s disease, CP, or similar populations preferred.
  • Comfort working in a nontraditional clinical environment that blends therapy and fitness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to client-centered, dignity-driven care.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and openness to innovation in service delivery.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Executive Director
  • Collaborates with fitness, operations, partnerships, and community engagement teams

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
