Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our patient care team, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our patient's health. In this role, you will assess and treat patients to improve motor functions and cognitive abilities, as well as teach adaptive techniques for daily living and working environments.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Conduct evaluations of muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical issues; develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery and optimal patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, adhering to quality assurance policies and regulations.
  • Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper use of supports and exercise programs; educate on injury prevention and ergonomics.
  • Professional Development: Participate in center meetings and external educational seminars to stay current with industry advancements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program; Master's Degree preferred but not necessary. Also need to have a Physical Therapy License with the state of California.
  • Experience: Experience in an orthopedic setting with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment; outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations.
  • Effective communication with employers, patients, providers, and other employees.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe medical environment.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining patient care records and writing reports.
  • Time management, planning, and workload control skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with management, patients, medical staff, and the general public.
  • Successful completion of orientation and training, demonstrating competency in all required physical therapy tasks.
