Physical Therapist – Outpatient / Inpatient (Hospital)

Hours: 40 hours/week | Five 8-hour shifts (approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Pay: $37.72 – $51.67/hour

Job Description Overview

Medix is partnering with a hospital client to identify a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a rewarding opportunity at a main hospital campus . This role provides exposure to both Outpatient and Inpatient physical therapy services and is an excellent opportunity for clinicians — including new graduates — to gain broad, hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, including:

Deliver direct patient care including evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation of PT interventions in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Treat a wide range of patient populations and diagnoses, including surgical, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and vestibular cases
Manage a highly variable caseload of approximately 8–20 patients per day , depending on case complexity
Assess functional status, movement dysfunction, and physical abilities to develop individualized plans of care
Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, patient education, and use of specialized equipment
Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet functional goals
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
Accurately document all patient care in Epic-based EMR platforms
Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications

Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program
Active and unrestricted Wyoming (WY) Physical Therapist license required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Ability to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient PT services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safe, effective, and patient-centered care
