JOB DESCRIPTION: Physical Therapist Assistant

Job duties to include, but not limited to:
- Excellent customer service, and timely arrival and completion of tasks.
- Timely documentation of patient notes, to be completed by the start of the next business day.
- Establish appropriate treatment interventions, plans of care and triage as needed to provide patient the resources they need.
- Only provide evidence-based, best practice treatment interventions, and receive patient consent before all interventions.
- Maintain all licensure to provide PT services in the state of Texas, and compliance with practice acts.
- Following up on patient calls, emails and any additional forms by end of day received.
- Able to understand patient benefits and financial implications of a patient’s plan of care.
- Maintaining organized work environment (ie. Cleaning desk, wiping down equipment, putting away supplies or orders).
- Employee is not to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on company property or performing job duties.

Education Requirements:

• Prior experience in adult orthopedics preferred
• Active licensure to provide Physical Therapy services in the state of Texas
• CPR certification required

Physical Demand Requirements:

PDL: Medium

- Lifting: From up to 50 pounds of force required occasionally from as low as floor level, up to waist height to assist with patient transfers and exercise set up

- Pushing and pulling required at light levels (0-20 lbs of force)

- Postures: Sitting frequently, standing frequently, walking frequently

- Crouch occasionally, stoop occasionally, bending/twisting occasionally, squat occasionally, reaching desk level constantly, reaching to floor level or overhead occasionally

- Fine Motor: writing/typing constantly, firm grasp occasionally, light grasp frequently
