Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our community t The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a passion for enhancing the well-being of individuals through physiotherapy. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, and contribute to their overall recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, home health strategies, and discharge planning to promote ongoing recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and acute care environments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively support patient rehabilitation across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Participate in the development of care plans that address the specific needs of patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages patient motivation and engagement throughout their recovery process.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- Proven experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and physiotherapy practices.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and patient care strategies across various settings including home health.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for patients’ needs.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
