Physical Therapist Assistant

Ohman Family Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary care team in a Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist in delivering effective and personalized physical therapy services to residents recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, promoting mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve residents’ strength, mobility, and functional ability.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in accordance with physician orders and therapy goals.
• Monitor residents' progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document all treatments, resident responses, and progress in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety measures, and proper body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal therapy outcomes.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Required: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensure: Current PTA license in the state of OH.
• Experience: Previous experience in a SNF or rehab setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic caseload.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
