Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care under the on-site supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on the Physical Therapist's evaluation
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and coordination
Apply manual therapy techniques and modalities as directed
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and at-home care programs
Monitor and document patient progress and report updates to the Physical Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Valid New York State PTA license (or eligible)
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
No experience necessary — we will train the right candidate!

Preferred (but not required):

Previous outpatient or clinical experience
Experience with manual therapy or trigger point techniques
