Duties

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities, including trigger point therapy, to promote healing and mobility.
• Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings.
• Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, safety precautions, and ongoing care strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care across inpatient, outpatient, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care settings.

Requirements

• Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques is essential.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to various clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
