Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting physical therapists in the rehabilitation of patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing treatment plans, providing patient care, and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide hands-on patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in acute care, outpatient clinics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics settings.
• Uphold medical terminology standards while communicating with patients and healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or home health preferred.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plans for diverse patient populations.
• Strong understanding of physiotherapy techniques and practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating independent decision-making skills.

Base Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
