Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient team. The PTA works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care that helps patients restore function, relieve pain, and improve mobility.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PT.
- Educate patients on exercises, mobility techniques, and home programs.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic/paper records.
- Monitor and adjust treatments based on patient response.
- Assist with clinical operations and support a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in meetings, in-services, and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Current Alabama PTA license (in good standing).
- One to two years of outpatient experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, documentation, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
Working Conditions
- Outpatient clinic setting with direct patient care.
- May occasionally travel to nearby clinics.
