Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapist - Spot Offer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team on a spot basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering comprehensive rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through personalized therapy plans. Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ physical conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough evaluations of physiology, anatomy, and movement patterns.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans utilizing techniques such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to address specific patient needs.
  • Administer treatments including physiotherapy modalities, therapeutic exercises, and manual techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, discharge planning, and home exercise programs to ensure continued recovery outside clinical settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, or home health environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in inpatient settings such as acute care hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinic experience in outpatient physiotherapy environments specializing in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or sports medicine is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and managing care plans for diverse populations including pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology along with strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to physiotherapy practices.
  • Hands-on experience with trigger point therapy techniques and other manual therapy methods is desirable.
  • Prior work in home health or outpatient clinics that serve varied patient needs will be considered a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $42.00 - $68.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
