Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Special Kids Care (SKC) is currently seeking to PHYSICAL Therapist Assistants for pediatric home health clients in the Northwest and Far West side of San Antonio, TX area.

PTA Requirements:

  • Therapists must have a license in good standing, and demonstrate excellent attendance, professionalism and organizational skills.
  • Therapists must have current professional liability insurance, or obtain insurance before providing treatments.
  • Therapists must be able to provide their own testing/evaluation materials *supervising therapist only*.

Job Type: Employment

PTA Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Assist in implementing treatment plans and exercises prescribed by the physical therapist.
- Apply physiology knowledge and medical terminology in patient interactions and documentation.
- Utilize trigger point therapy techniques as appropriate for patient care.
- Demonstrate acute care skills in a hospital setting.
- Utilize anatomy knowledge to assist in patient assessments and treatment.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate organizational skills in managing patient schedules and treatment plans.
- Incorporate occupational health considerations into patient care as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
