Estrella Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a dedicated, passionate Physical Therapy Assistant to help us continue to grow our therapy services. Job Responsibilities

  • Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan
  • Treat under the supervision of a licensed PT in direct patient care and patient related activities and adhere to facility Supervision Policy and Procedure Matrix
  • Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans
  • Participate in Patient Care Conference, Utilization Review Meeting and Rehabilitation Conferences
  • Participate in in‑service training program for other staff in the facility
  • Record treatment charges daily per facility policy and procedures
  • Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs
  • Participate in discharge planning
  • Coordinate necessary durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment for patients to facilitate safety and independence in ADL's
  • Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order
  • Act as a clinical preceptor for affiliating Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant Schools
  • Comply with Physical Therapy Practice Act and the facility Policy and Procedures

Requirements:

Although prior therapy experience is preferred, we place a high value on intelligence, drive and willingness to learn and grow, making this an excellent opportunity for an exceptional new graduate who is willing to work hard and make him or herself an indispensable member of our team. Experience/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Arizona (Able to obtain prior to starting)
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card
