Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Florida Pediatric Care Centers is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to pediatric patients in a professional and supportive clinical environment.

Our center focuses on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence for children through individualized therapy programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy treatments to pediatric patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve mobility, balance, strength, and coordination.
  • Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with therapists, caregivers, and staff.
  • Ensure a safe and positive therapy environment for all patients.

Schedule & Caseload:

  • Part time position
  • Approximately 25 pediatric patients
  • Each child requires 3 sessions per week (60 minutes), with some requiring 4 sessions per week.

Compensation:

  • $40.00 to 50.00 per therapy session

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida PTA License
  • Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain proper documentation
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Bilingual
