Position Overview
Wyoming Wound Care is seeking a board-certified Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our growing, patient-centered team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with both complex and non-complex wounds, with an emphasis on improving healing outcomes and preventing limb loss.
While wound care experience is strongly preferred, we welcome candidates from orthopedic, neurological, or other clinical backgrounds who are motivated to expand into this specialized area.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Treatment
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based interventions to improve wound healing, mobility, and overall function
- Perform and assist with wound care procedures, including sharp debridement (training and competency required)
- Select and apply appropriate wound dressings and adjunctive therapies
- Monitor wound progression and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, prevention, and long-term health strategies
Wound Care Integration
- Collaborate in the assessment and management of chronic and acute wounds
- Support limb preservation efforts through early intervention and consistent follow-up
- Identify signs of infection, delayed healing, or complications and escalate appropriately
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to optimize outcomes
Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other providers to ensure coordinated care
- Communicate clearly with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Support seamless patient transitions and continuity of care
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Ensure all patient care aligns with HIPAA and clinic privacy standards
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Clinic & Community Engagement
- Contribute to patient education initiatives and community outreach
- Support clinic growth through high-quality care and positive patient experiences
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Board-certified and licensed (or eligible) in the state of Wyoming
- Training in debridement is required as part of PT education and must be performed within scope and competency
- Experience in wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
