Physical Therapist - Full Time - Lebanon, TN.
To provide the highest level of patient care by assessing, interpreting, planning and implementing prescribed physical therapy treatment plans.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy (PT) treatments for patients suffering from injuries/disease to restore function, prevent disability, and relieve pain.
- Perform evaluations/re-eval and establish plan of care for patients.
- Consult with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of rehabilitation on patient health status.
- Consult with insurance companies on patient’s behalf to increase patient care.
- Document findings, treatments, and other patient information for medical record as necessary.
- Bill patients according to proper procedures.
- Educate patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercises.
- Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and other members of the therapy staff.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Maintain HIPPA and abide by appropriate state Ethics laws.
- Perform appropriate wound care and assessment to enhance surgical outcomes.
- Provide documentation with appropriate progressions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay up to date on appropriate protocols for patient population. HUGHSTON RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Essential Functions: Lift and carry 50 pounds, move patients and equipment.
Marginal Functions: Reach for and manipulate equipment and patients, clean equipment, develop and administer home exercise programs, fold laundry, stock medical supplies.

- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
Special Qualifications:

- May require working at multiple locations.
- Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding.
- Annual MVR may be required per policy and procedure; background reports may be ran as needed throughout the course of employment.
- Must have a current state Physical Therapy license.
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Outside Relationships: Must be able to relate professionally with patients, patient’s family members, facility staff and physicians.
Interaction with other Departments: All hospital and clinical departments.
