Physical Therapist - Full Time

About Independence Rehab

What You'll Do

  • Float between 2-3 of our skilled nursing facilities, depending upon your availability:

    • Oak Creek Rehab in Kimberly
    • Desert View Care Center in Buhl
    • Twin Falls Transitional Care Center
    • Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone
  • Evaluate patients and developing individualized treatment plans

  • Occasionally treat clinically complex patients

  • Perform gait training and therapeutic exercise programs

  • Provide balance training and fall-prevention interventions

  • Complete wheelchair and equipment assessments

  • Perform and assisting with all types of transfers

  • Educate patients and families on safety and mobility strategies

  • Supervise a PTA

  • Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team

Requirements

  • Current Idaho PT license in good standing

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Organized, self-starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population

  • Ability to supervise a PTA

Preferred:

  • At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility. That said-if you are a caring, passionate, licensed therapist who loves working with older adults, we would still love to hear from you.
