PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT)
Summary: Performs patient-centered evaluations and treatments that meet all professional and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties:
- Evaluation: Review physician referrals and medical records; perform comprehensive evaluations of strength, motor development, and functional capacity.
- Plan of Care: Develop and revise treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to integrate therapy into the patient’s total healthcare plan.
- Supervision: Oversee PTAs, students, and unlicensed personnel per state and federal requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely patient records.
- Education: Guide patients on post-op recovery, physician protocols, and home exercise programs.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current or pending Ohio State PT licensure.
- AHA BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire).
- Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA)
Summary: Performs patient-centered treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
Essential Duties:
- Treatment: Administer physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain following the PT’s established plan.
- Communication: Regularly confer with the supervising PT and care team regarding patient progress.
- Documentation: Complete clinical documentation accurately and within facility timeframes.
- Education: Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Professionalism: Maintain flexibility in scheduling and participate in facility training and in-services.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Ohio State PTA licensure.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
Schedule & Benefits
- Status: PRN (As Needed).
- Hours: Daytime hours; no late nights, evenings, or weekends.
