Physical Therapy Aide

Physical and Sports Rehab is looking for a PT Tech. We are searching for a hard-working, energetic, patient centered PT Aide to support a busy office in Upper Marlboro, MD. In this position you will be able to gain hands on experience in physical therapy. Our techs often go onto DPT, PA or PTA programs.

Availability: Candidates must have flexible availability Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments and assist Physical Therapists and PT Assistants during sessions.
• Safeguard and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities under professional supervision.
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas and ensure their needs are met before and after therapy sessions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment by completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
  
• Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere by communicating effectively and maintaining friendly relationships with patients and coworkers.
• Assist Front Desk with intake paperwork, insurance verifications and scheduling as needed.
• Consistently exceed patient expectations by providing high-quality care in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Requirements:

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Previous experience in a physical therapy clinic or other medical setting preferred, but not required. The position is full-time and will include day or evening shifts-candidates must be available for either shifts.
