Physical Therapy Aide - Spanish Speaking

Valley Foot and Ankle Specialty Providers (VFASP) of Fresno is looking for an exceptional, part-time Physical Therapy Aide to join our fast growing practice. Our ideal team member is entrepreneurial, positive, and hard-working while also respectful of patients and staff.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Physical Therapy Aide to support our clinical team and help ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience throughout the therapy process. This role is essential to daily clinic operations and plays a key part in delivering high-quality care.

The Physical Therapy Aide will assist with a variety of non-clinical duties including patient intake support, preparing treatment areas, maintaining cleanliness, and guiding patients through prescribed exercises under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented healthcare environment. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to adapt to different patient needs is essential.

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to both patient care and clinic operations by:

  • Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all patients
  • Assisting patients with exercises as directed by licensed Physical Therapists
  • Preparing and organizing treatment spaces before and after each session
  • Setting up and adjusting therapy equipment to ensure safe and effective use
  • Assisting with patient mobility, including support during walking or balance activities
  • Preparing basic therapy items such as hot and cold packs as instructed
  • Maintaining clinic cleanliness, including sanitizing equipment, cleaning tables, and managing linens
  • Monitoring supply levels and restocking therapy materials as needed
  • Supporting front desk operations when necessary, including phone support and scheduling assistance

Patient Care & Safety Expectations

  • Follow all clinic safety procedures and protocols
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients of varying backgrounds and needs
  • Provide respectful, culturally aware care to all patients
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or Technician is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
  • Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working closely with patients

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
