FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is a leading provider of physical therapy, balance, and wellness services. We are expanding our presence within a WellNow / Physician’s Immediate Care location in Elk Grove Village and are seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our growing patient caseload.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, referral-rich environment alongside urgent care providers while delivering high-quality outpatient therapy services.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a key role in delivering rehabilitative care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position will help manage an active caseload and support patient recovery, mobility, and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Deliver safe, effective, evidence-based therapy interventions
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the PT
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention

Caseload Management

• Manage a caseload of approximately 10–12 patients per day
• Assist with scheduling efficiency and patient flow
• Support patient compliance and follow-up

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete accurate and timely documentation per IDFPR, Medicare, and payer guidelines
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with clinic staff and leadership to achieve performance goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment
• Represent FYZICAL’s mission and values in all patient interactions

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Illinois PTA license (in good standing)
• CPR certification

Preferred:

• 1+ year outpatient orthopedic experience
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and manual techniques

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
