Duties

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions to alleviate pain and improve function.
• Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning to promote continued recovery at home or in outpatient settings.
• Support care coordination efforts by participating in discharge planning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring seamless patient transitions across care environments.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, patient responses, and clinical observations in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all therapy sessions.

Requirements

• Valid certification/licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program.
• Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy.
• Ability to effectively communicate treatment goals and progress to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Experience with discharge planning processes and familiarity with outpatient therapy protocols.

Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
