Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab in Mount Airy, MD. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients under the guidance of a licensed therapist. Our team is committed to serving with pride and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with the implementation and modification of treatment plans

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist

• Perform various physical therapy treatments, such as exercises, stretches, and modalities

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes

• Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a physical therapy setting

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
