Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab in Mount Airy, MD. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients under the guidance of a licensed therapist. Our team is committed to serving with pride and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assist physical therapists with the implementation and modification of treatment plans</li><li>
Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist</li><li>
Perform various physical therapy treatments, such as exercises, stretches, and modalities</li><li>
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress</li><li>
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes</li><li>
Participate in patient education and discharge planning</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred</li><li>
Minimum 1 year of experience in a physical therapy setting</li><li>
Ability to work effectively as part of a team</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary</li><li>
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines</li></ul>
