Physical Therapy Tech (Full-time)

Do you have a background in personal training, fitness or sports? Have you considered a career in healthcare assisting Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Certified Hand Therapists?

Full-time Physical Therapy Tech position available immediately to start at $18.00 per hour.

Physical Therapy Techs assist our therapists by supporting patients through demonstration of exercise routines and proper use of equipment. Candidates should possess knowledge of basic anatomy, excellent communication skills, reliable transportation and be willing to travel between office locations in Montgomery and Prince Georges counties.

Responsibilities:

- Direct patient contact

- Assist with exercise program

- Apply hot and cold packs to affected areas as directed

- Clean and maintain equipment

- Wash, dry and fold laundry

- Scanning of medical records

- Appointment scheduling and admin support at front desk

- Disinfecting of surfaces with EPA approved products

Qualifications:

- Interest in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or personal training

- Self-motivated

- Enthusiastic

- Effective communication

- Ability to multi-task in a high volume setting

- Organized

- Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds

- COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule:

Must be available to work shifts during the following hours:

* Monday - Thursday between 6:30 am to 8:00 pm

* Friday between 6:30 am to 6:00 pm

* Saturday (once per month) from 7:45 am to 1:00 pm

Experience:

Previous healthcare experience or an exercise related field is preferred

Education:

Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply

High School diploma or GED required

Knowledge of basic anatomy required
