Physical/Occupational Therapist - Wheelchair Evaluations

The Wheelchair Clinic offers specialty therapist evaluations for custom wheelchairs, seating systems, and other medical equipment, and is looking for a PRN therapist with equipment experience in the Albuquerque, NM area. Training in custom wheelchairs and seating will be provided. Using a cloud-based software system, evaluations will be performed at patients' homes, facilities, and DME company locations.

• $65.00 per one hour evaluation
• Mileage reimbursement for local travel, 20 mile radius from home
• Flexible work schedule during normal business hours

Current license to practice in the state required. Current NPI number preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist licensed in NM and in good standing.
• Experience in acute, home health, and/or orthopedics settings across the Lifespan preferred.
• Experience in Custom Wheelchairs and DME equipment preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with telehealth platforms and EMR systems.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot with technology.
• Ability to set your own hours and complete reports within 24 hours of evaluation using the Wheelchair Clinic Platform.
• Availability for in-clinic options, telehealth and/or potential for in-home.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace for virtual sessions available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wheelchair evaluations to assess patient needs and mobility requirements.
• Complete Point of Service Documentation within 24 hours of assessing the patient.
• Perform In-person and/or telehealth evaluations
• Provide education to patients and families regarding wheelchair options and usage.
• Engage with pediatric and geriatric populations, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs.

Job Types: PRN, Contract

Pay: $65.00 per hour
