Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Classification: Full-Time or Part-Time
Reports to: Chief Medical Officer
Salary: $110.57 - $120.19 per hour
Summary: Provide the full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients. They serve as leaders within the patient centered medical home model and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that each patient gets the best possible care.
Responsibilities: Primary Care Physician

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of chronic and acute illnesses.

Attends to patients in a timely and orderly manner to keep waiting time to a minimum and maximize productivity.

Obtains appropriate patient history, performs physical evaluation, orders appropriate diagnostic tests and follows-up with interpretation, formulates assessment and initiates treatment plan with appropriate follow up appointments.

Order and review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) signs, dates and follows up with patients in a timely manner.

Ensures documentation is recorded in a complete, timely and orderly manner, utilizing template in the electronic medical record, as well as utilize the electronic health record to its full capacity.

Collaborate with other physicians, nurse-practitioners, medical assistants, and available in-house social service support programs to ensure efficient, high-quality integrated care.
Additional Expectations: Primary Care Physician

Comfortable in completing three to four patient encounters per clinical hour.

Able to complete three to four patient encounters per clinic hour.

Close patient encounter notes within three business days after encounter occurs.

Willing to be trained in the treatment and management of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis through the various professional resources available to CBWF.

A positive, “can do” attitude focused on positive patient interactions and growing the practice.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience:

Be a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) licensed to practice in Texas with no pending or previous disciplinary action from any state licensing entity.

Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).

Previous experience in a primary care setting preferred.

Spanish speaking a plus but not required.

Tasks occur in both medical office and clinic setting

Able to lift 25lbs and perform normal duties associated in a clinic and office setting.
