Physician

We are seeking a Collaborating Physician (MD/DO) to partner with an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner in an established outpatient private practice. This role focuses on medical oversight and collaboration, not day-to-day patient volume or hospital-based care.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a wellness-forward, primary care setting and values a professional, organized, and low-burden collaboration model.

Role Highlights

• Approximately 2 in-clinic days per month; flexible; choose dates at your convenience
• Remote chart review and consultation as needed
• No inpatient care, call schedule, or hospital responsibilities
• No ownership, staffing, or operational duties
• Established protocols, documentation, and compliance processes in place

Clinical Services Under Collaboration

The collaborating physician will provide oversight for outpatient services including:

• Primary care/Women's Health
• Hormone replacement therapy (HRT/TRT)
• Weight management
• IV hydration therapy
• Wellness and aesthetic services

Responsibilities

• Serve as collaborating physician in accordance with Alabama Board requirements
• Participate in periodic chart review and case discussion
• Review and approve clinical protocols as needed
• Be available for professional consultation and guidance
• Attend scheduled in-clinic collaboration days (approx. 2/month)

Qualifications
*MD or DO licensed in the state of Alabama-unrestricted

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty
• Outpatient clinical experience preferred
• Comfort with collaborative NP practice models
• Familiarity with HRT, IV therapy, Aesthetics or wellness services preferred (training support available)
• Current DEA Number and current/active PDMP account
