Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care across various specialties, ensuring patient-centered treatment and adherence to the highest standards of clinical practice. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse patient population in both outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing advanced medical technologies and evidence-based protocols. The Physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services, participate in clinical research, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments through physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs, including acute and chronic disease management.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR systems for documentation, order entry, and patient tracking.
  • Perform or oversee diagnostic procedures including medical imaging (CT, nuclear medicine), catheterization, neurocritical care assessments, and interventional radiology techniques.
  • Manage complex cases involving specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, pulmonology, oncology, rheumatology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, and infectious disease care.
  • Provide specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, radiation therapy coordination, pain management procedures, wound care, ostomy care, hyperbaric medicine protocols, and sedation or anesthesia support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with NCQA standards.
  • Participate in clinical research activities and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge through ongoing education and evidence-based practice updates.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate discharge planning, post-operative care, home care services, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Maintain proficiency in medical coding including CPT and ICD coding for billing purposes.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and other medical records software.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic radiology interpretation including CT scans and nuclear medicine imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology across multiple specialties including cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, immunology, pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, and more.
  • Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, spinal taps (lumbar punctures), gastric lavage, airway management including ventilator support, IV infusion administration, wound care techniques, and aseptic technique adherence.
  • Ability to manage complex cases involving critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; experience with post-operative care is preferred.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote consultations; experience in clinical trials or research is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient service delivery; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology combined with the ability to interpret diagnostic results accurately.
