Pinnacle Orthopaedics is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support Dr. Kumiga, a specialist in interventional spine treatments and non-operative spine care.
This role is well suited for a PA or NP who wants to work in a focused spine practice that prioritizes evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Clinic Responsibilities

Perform physical exams, evaluations, and follow-up visits, and document findings.

Order and interpret diagnostic studies (x-rays, MRIs, CTs, laboratory studies, DEXA, vascular studies).

Establish diagnoses and develop non-operative treatment plans.

Coordinate care with interventional physicians and other specialists as needed.

Assist with conservative musculoskeletal care such as brace fitting and immobilization.

Perform clinic procedures including injections, aspirations, wound care, and minor in-office treatments within scope.

Prepare prescriptions and authorize refills.
-
Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, spine health, and use of supportive devices.

Document patient progress and transcribe provider orders.

Triage patient calls and provide guidance within scope.

Support continuity of care across follow-up visits.

Conduct independent evaluations in urgent situations when necessary.
Hospital Responsibilities
Note: No surgical assistance included.

Obtain medical histories and physical assessments for patients requiring interventional spine or other non-operative procedures.

Conduct hospital rounds related to non-operative spine management and ongoing treatment planning.

Dictate discharge summaries and clinical documentation as required.

Perform emergency department and inpatient consultations related to non-operative spine care.

Maintain accurate logs for documentation and billing.
Administrative Responsibilities

Provide accurate documentation and coding for all patient encounters.

Participate in required meetings and committees when assigned.

Maintain professional development and required certifications.

Comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards.
Requirements
Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

Current, active state licensure and applicable certifications.
