We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PA to join our outpatient clinic team. The PA will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients. This role requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform procedures such as wound care and suture removal as needed (experience in wound care is a plus).
- Provide patient education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Order diagnostic tests as appropriate, adhering to clinic protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts, progress notes, and medication reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education opportunities, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical practice and patient care delivery.
- Adhere to clinic policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring effective communication and understanding of their healthcare needs.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in a surgical environment.
- Proficiency in performing routine outpatient procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of medicine.
