Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine appropriate care pathways.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicals to document findings accurately and efficiently.
• Administer injections, medications, and manage airway or ventilator support when necessary.
• Assist in procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and other clinical interventions following aseptic techniques.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams for triage, acute pain management to optimize patient outcomes across outpatient settings.
• Support clinical research initiatives and participate in clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices.
• Manage documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, including ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and detailed medical records management.
• Engage in health coaching, discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and patient education tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics and hospice & palliative medicine cases.
• Contribute to infection control protocols and participate in emergency response activities such as airway management and ventilator troubleshooting.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote patient consultations while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Experience

• Proven clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Hands-on experience performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, radiation therapy support, dialysis assistance, highly desirable.
• Background in acute care environments including ICU or PICU; familiarity with ventilator management is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical imaging interpretation.
• Experience working outpatient clinics that serve diverse populations including occupational health or senior care is beneficial.
• Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD coding standards essential for accurate billing and documentation processes.

Pay: $82,367.94 - $95,324.83 per year
