Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic , exclusively pediatric out patient healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, clinical procedures, and medical documentation, with the ability to work across various specialties including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, primary care, and specialty clinics. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment while utilizing advanced clinical skills and EMR systems. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital sign measurement, and medical history intake.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology knowledge and interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications, injections, vaccinations
- Assist in surgical procedures such as suturing, catheterization.
- Manage acute pain .
- Document patient encounters accurately using EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data for clinical trials or public health studies and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients on topics such as family planning, nutrition, addiction counseling, or chronic disease management.
- Engage in discharge planning for hospitalized patients and coordinate post-acute or hospice & palliative care services as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program with current licensure to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Must have NYS license
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills encompassing suturing, IV infusion management, airway management, phlebotomy, and aseptic technique.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
