Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform diagnostic and treatment plans.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory tests, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
- Administer injections, including botulinum toxin treatments for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage acute pain cases and participate in pain management strategies utilizing appropriate medications and interventions.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, intubation, ventilator management, and basic airway management in emergency or inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital environments—including ICU, Emergency Room, Level I & II Trauma Centers- to provide high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient records and data management standards.
- Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and follow-up to optimize patient recovery pathways.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, any surgical specialty, critical care (ICU), or urgent care settings; Level I & II trauma center experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations, diagnostic assessments, medication administration—including injections—and basic life support certification.
- Experience with surgical procedures, assisting in operating room, suturing skills, wound care and wound vac changes.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition or family planning; adept at data collection and management for research purposes.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety across outpatient or inpatient environments. Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
