Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

Interventional Pain Management & Minimally Invasive Spine
Wichita Falls, Texas

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in interventional pain management and orthopedic spine to join our growing specialty practice in Wichita Falls, TX.

This is a specialty-driven, procedure-oriented role focused on managing complex spine and chronic pain patients. The provider will be responsible for comprehensive new patient evaluations, follow-up management, development of interventional treatment pathways, and coordination of procedural and surgical care with our physician partners.

This is not a medication-management role. We are seeking a clinically confident provider who understands imaging correlation, conservative care sequencing, procedural algorithms, and documentation requirements for interventional pain procedures.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive new patient consultations for spine and chronic pain conditions
  • Perform detailed musculoskeletal and neurologic examinations
  • Independently review and interpret MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging
  • Correlate imaging findings with clinical presentation
  • Develop stepwise, evidence-based interventional treatment plans
  • Manage follow-up visits and progression through procedural pathways
  • Ensure documentation supports payer-specific medical necessity criteria
  • Appropriately manage non-operative spine care and chronic pain conditions

Interventional Case Development

  • Identify and optimize candidates for:
  • Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
  • Medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablation
  • SI joint injections and stabilization procedures
  • Vertebral augmentation
  • Peripheral nerve interventions
  • Minimally invasive lumbar decompression procedures
  • Sequence diagnostic blocks appropriately prior to ablation
  • Ensure conservative therapy requirements are clearly documented
  • “Tee up” clean, audit-ready procedural cases for physician procedural days
  • Coordinate pre-authorizations and facility scheduling logistics
  • Work closely with hospital and ASC partners

Facility & Outreach Responsibilities

  • Travel periodically to partnered hospitals to conduct specialty spine/pain clinics
  • Evaluate procedural candidates at partner facilities
  • Provide follow-up care in outreach locations
  • Serve as liaison between clinic and procedural facilities
  • Assist in expansion of interventional and minimally invasive spine service lines

Community Networking & Business Development

  • Build and maintain referral relationships with:
  • Primary care providers
  • Chiropractors
  • Physical therapists
  • Neurology and specialty providers
  • Educate referral sources on interventional pain treatment pathways
  • Participate in local medical networking events
  • Represent the practice at hospital and community meetings
  • Assist leadership in identifying strategic growth opportunities in the region

Compensation Structure

We offer a production-dominant compensation model designed for high-performing, specialty-focused providers who want meaningful earning upside.

Base Salary

  • Competitive but modest guaranteed base salary to support ramp-up

Production Incentive (Primary Earnings Driver)

The majority of total compensation is driven by measurable clinical production. Incentives may be structured around:

  • Work RVU generation
  • Patient visit volume (new consults and follow-ups)
  • Procedural case development
  • Interventional conversion metrics
  • Service line growth

There is significant earning potential for providers who are organized, productive, and growth-minded. Production incentives are uncapped.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas PA or NP license
  • 2+ years experience in:
  • Interventional pain management or
  • Orthopedic spine
  • Strong understanding of procedural sequencing and payer requirements
  • Comfortable managing complex chronic pain patients
  • Independent spine imaging review skills
  • Highly organized and systems-oriented
  • Comfortable in a performance-driven specialty practice

Pay: $300.00 - $1,200.00 per day
