The physician extender will provide comprehensive health assessments, evaluation, planning and administration of quality patient care. The physician extender works under the general supervision of a designated physician within Axel Health providing a mechanism for consultation, collaboration or referral as necessary. Care is provided based on assessment and management in accordance with regulatory standards, policy and procedure, protocols and practice guidelines. The physician extender provides patient care and education based on individual patient health and cultural status. This position serves as a patient advocate for Axel Health, Select Specialty Hospital and the community.

Looking for dayshift coverage for a Post Acute Rehabilitation Hospital with no emergency room. Physician extender will provide care for med surg patients. Expected to be at location while on shift, generous compensation, health insurance and 401K, with match provided. Internal Medicine physician backup available.

Requirements:

Education: Masters Degree required. Experience: ICU or Cardiac experience preferred. Licensure: ARNP or PA license in the State of Florida. Pay: $119,624.55 - $120,000.00 per year
