Overview
Aesthetic Physician Assistant
High-end Plastic Surgery Practice in Dallas seeks an Aesthetic PA to provide high-level aesthetic services within our office and act as the Clinical Coordinator for the practice. This position requires a passion for patient care and aesthetics.
Ideal candidates are dynamic in personality, polished in presentation and skilled in customer service. The position requires PA or NP with experience in the OR preferred.
Duties
- Assist plastic surgeon during outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient positioning, sterile technique, and procedural efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine candidacy for various aesthetic or reconstructive treatments.
- Learn to administer injections such as Botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and other minimally invasive procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage preoperative preparations, postoperative care, and follow-up evaluations to monitor healing progress and address any complications promptly.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, medication administration, and clinical data collection.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Proven experience in plastic surgery or related fields such as dermatology, ENT, or general surgery is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation and billing.
- Willingness to learn injection administration techniques such as Botulinum toxin treatment and dermal fillers; aseptic technique expertise required.
- Familiarity with hospital environments including outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, or teaching hospitals
- Skills in suturing, wound care management, acute pain management strategies, are beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical examinations thoroughly while maintaining patient comfort; excellent patient assessment skills essential.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and safety standards are met consistently.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
