Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document findings accurately.
- Administer injections, medications, and perform procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments following aseptic techniques.
- Manage acute pain cases, triage patients, and coordinate urgent or emergency care within hospital environments including Level I and Level II trauma centers.
- Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, managing medical records, and participating in clinical trials related to specialty care areas like infectious disease or palliative medicine.
- Utilize skills in CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and home care services.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
- Experience with botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, esthetic laser procedures, or other specialty interventions is highly desirable.
- Critical care experience including ICU or neonatal ventilator management; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical terminology.
- Skilled in airway management, ventilator support, catheterization procedures (including cardiac catheterization), and infection control protocols.
- Ability to perform physical examinations thoroughly and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique standards.
- Experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care or primary care settings; familiarity with telehealth practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate billing; experience with medical coding is advantageous.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment, health coaching, discharge planning, and education.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while adhering to HIPAA standards. Pay Rates- $130k-$160k bonuses may reflect compensation.
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
