Center for Vascular Medicine is seeking a compassionate, clinically strong Physician Assistant to join our outpatient vascular medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys building long-term patient relationships while practicing in a collaborative, physician-led environment focused on delivering exceptional vascular care.
You'll work alongside experienced physicians and a multidisciplinary clinical team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with venous and peripheral arterial disease using evidence-based medicine and a patient-centered approach.
What You'll Do
As a Physician Assistant, you will:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage patients with venous and lower extremity arterial disease
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic testing
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and ongoing disease management
- Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR
- Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support best clinical practices
- Maintain compliance with all applicable clinical, regulatory, and professional standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Maryland Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
Preferred:
- Experience in vascular medicine, cardiovascular medicine, surgery, interventional radiology, wound care, or outpatient specialty practice
- Experience treating venous disease and peripheral arterial disease
- Familiarity with CEAP and VCSS scoring
- EMR proficiency
